Field of Interest

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog. This blog is about my field of interest. I have mentioned in my previous posts that I am interested in business administration field. 

Since the outbreak last year, the government imposes a movement control order to control the outbreak of the epidemic in Malaysia since March. Therefore, many people can't go out to work and my families also the same. Many companies have bankrupt due to this situation, and many people have also been fired. In order not to burden my parents, I started my online business at the end of May during sembreak. In this blog, I will share some of my experiences on how to manage online business.

1. Do some research before start an online business

At the beginning, I do some research about the skills for doing online business. After I decide the products that I want to sell which is snacks, I create a Facebook and Instagram account as my sales channel. After that, I use my savings to purchase products and sell it in my online shop. At first, I actively make posters or video to promote my products and post it in my personal social media platform and my online shop. Although at first, only my families, friends and my followers supported me and placed orders with me, but this gave me a lot of encouragement. 

      

2. Use the online advertising tools to promote products

Afterwards, I started to use some online sales skills to promote my products and let more other people know. I use the online advertising tools of Instagram to promote the post, so that more people in other areas can see and know my online shop. Fortunately, my online shop have increased exposure on Instagram and reach more than hundred people.

3. Do some promotion and discount event

In addition, I also doing some promotion and give away for my followers. For example, I use my products as the prizes to attract people participated the give away event. Through this way, I have gained a lot of people follow my Instagram account and also purchase products with me.

   

4. Protect the reputation of online business

In online business, reputation and honesty is very important, because some customers will worry about will they be deceived. In this situation, I will post about the customers order records, products arrival records, shippment records and customers' feedbacks in the stories to let customers trust me that I am a reputable seller. Not only that, I also will make sure my products are in good condition, so that customers will also eat happily.

      

Although I didn't earn much money, but for me as a student, these income was enough for my personal expenses. I will continue try my best to learn more skills that can help me use in my online business without affecting my studies.
